My adventure with designing jewelry under the ZOE HOOP brand initially started as a dream. A dream that turned out to be an unforgettable and enriching experience that has exceeded my wildest expectations. Working with ZOE HOOP has also taken me to places I could never imagine, like showcasing my jewelry at the prestigious event Super Bowl in the USA - not just once, but two years in a row!
The incredible event, in turn, opened up entirely new doors and offered great opportunities. It has not only enriched me but also inspired me to help others in the same way.
When I had just designed the third collection and went to Los Angeles to showcase it during Super Bowl LVI, I met Angela Allen, co-founder of the NFL Off the Field Wives Association, who has several events for the players' wives during the Super Bowl. There and then, the idea for a unique and touching piece of jewelry was born. Angela, who herself lost her husband, turned to me to create a piece of jewelry that could express hope in sorrow and serve as a symbol for those who have lost a loved one.
Angela Allen is a person who is passionate about helping and supporting others, especially young women and children. Her passion has led to involvement in several different organizations and initiatives, including Possum Talks Prison Ministry, Dallas Juvenile Detention Center, and work against human trafficking. Angela lost her husband after nine years of marriage and has since devoted herself to helping other widows in their journey to continue living.
Together with her daughter Amaya, Angela has written a book called "A Far Away Place," which is designed to help children cope with death and grief. Through her work and commitment, Angela Allen hopes to make a difference for those struggling with loss and grief.
Inspired by Angela's story and her desire to help others in similar situations, I decided to create a piece of jewelry that could convey hope and comfort. Through prayer and guidance from God, I designed a piece of jewelry in Spring 2022 based on three Bible verses: Revelation 21:4, 1 Thessalonians 4:14, and Philippians 4:7. These verses were engraved on the back of the charm.
The idea with the jewelry is to remind us of the hope of reuniting with our loved ones on the shore of eternity, where God Himself will wipe away the tears from our eyes. It is a reminder that we are not alone in our grief and that God is there to give us the strength to endure. Having the opportunity to create this piece of jewelry and touch people's hearts has been an honor for me. It also reminds me of my own journey to becoming a jewelry designer and how much it means to be able to provide comfort and hope to others.
By creating the Eternity's Shore collection, I hope to make a small difference in people's lives and give them something that can help them cope with loss and grief. I feel humbled and grateful to be a part of so many people's lives and stories. It is also an honor to have collaborated with someone like Angela, who is so dedicated to making a positive impact on other people's lives.
Working with Angela and her daughter Amaya has also given me new perspectives and an understanding of how my jewelry can serve as a source of comfort and encouragement for those going through difficult times. It has been an inspiring process to work together to create a symbol of hope and love that can help people find the strength and courage to move forward after a loss.
I hope that the Eternity's Shore collection will continue to touch people's hearts and spread light and hope in a time of grief and loss. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my talents and passion for jewelry design to make a difference in other people's lives and contribute to a greater understanding of the importance of love, hope, and faith.
